ohio state vs ohio recap

it was another fun weekend in columbus. drew made the trip down to reclaim his spot as my sales manager and we were joined by focker and newcomer jackie green.
the full lineup of jupmode.com items is nearly out. new items this week included the organic cotton grocery tote bags and the pop brutus shirt designed by alissa weaver.
the game was kind of tense for a bit but luckily the buckeyes prevailed. hopefully they come prepared this weekend against southern cal. i’ll be there selling shirts at the tailgates if you’re in the area.
we ran into another shirt guru this weekend, ryan vesler, who created the homage clothing line. he’s got some ferocious retro clothing available at homageclothing.com. i suggest you check it out and keep an eye on the greatness his is sure to unfurl in the future.
the nice looking photos in this post were taken by lisa di giacomo who is doing a photography project on tailgating. they’re great photos and it’s nice to finally have some professional photos taken of jupmode products. she’ll be back for the troy game to get some more and pick up her own pop brutus tee.

osu sweater vest onesie
the new sweater vest t-shirts came out to the masses this weekend at the osu vs. youngstown st game. the arrival of the shirts was long awaited by quite a few people. on friday i picked up the new shirts at atlantis sportswear on friday and dropped them off in columbus. we’ve got six versions total - adult and youth sizes in scarlet and gray, and toddler and onesies in red - and they’ve all been redesigned with a new tie with the logos.

dr came home for the weekend since ND wasn’t playing to help sell. we made it in late friday night to columbus and got up early to sell at the 7eleven on lane avenue. dr was a little tired from his first week at school so i was lucky to have steve dempsey in town to help organize all of the merch.
the shirt is once again a big hit. like always we got plenty of cute comments, but the biggest seller of the day was the osu sweater vest onesie. it’s the big item that finally brings something to the jupmode line for the women.

and one more thing, dr, brad hays, and i ran the spirit of columbus half marathon today. i’d been training for the last month and was a little nervous as to whether or not i could complete it. the longest training run i had was 9 miles and i spent all day yesterday on my feet. luckily, dr stayed back with me and kept me moving. we finished with a time of about 1:50. my goal was under 2 hours so i’m very happy with the finish. at the finish we received medals and they had a whole bunch of great treats - pbj sandwiches, subway cookies (dr’s favorite), trail mix, waters, bananas. they put on a great event for their first time around.
i’m glad i ran it, mostly just so i can say that i did. i don’t feel some immense sense of accomplishment like some people do. it’s more a feeling like cool, i did it, i wouldn’t mind doing it again sometime. running that early in the morning is weird. we woke up at 5:30 and by noon we were headed back home. it felt like the day was really long and almost like we hadn’t run a race earlier in the day. next time we need to find the closest sonic so that we can really take advantage of all of the calories we burned during the run.

i need your feedback (new osu sweater vest tees)

here are three new shirts i’m working on. you’ll recognize two of them. the third is a new one designed by alissa weaver. she also made the files for the two new tressel tees.
before i go through with production, i need your help. what do you think of the new one. yay or nay. the red portion doesn’t look to clear (click to enlarge), but the gray specs on it are smaller buckeye leaves.
with the tressel tees i need to know what you think of the ties. do you like the red and gray check. should i do something else. should we make the tie for the gray sweater the red and gray check as well.
let me know homies. i can’t do this on my own.

a little late on this one, but it’s still fresh in my memory. the osu sweater vest got quite a bit of exposure in new orleans and was actually picked up by a well known blog: the sporting blog. it’s the blogging arm of the sporting news and run by chris mottram, brother to jamie of the blog show.
i think if they met the guy who made what spencer hall called the “classiest t-shirt in college football” they might change their mind.
