it’s osu/michigan weekend and jupmode has the shirts and bags for you

Posted by juplife on November 21, 2008

in my never ending quest to continually promote my products and move out of the parents house, i felt it was necessary to once again remind everyone of what i’m selling on jupmode.com (i’m not just the jim tressel t-shirt guy anymore). these two products are especially relevant right now with the ohio state vs. michigan game this weekend.

ohio state organice t-shirt

ohio state organice t-shirt

if you can’t quite make it out, both the shirt and bag read, ‘I’ll go green, but I won’t go blue’. i’m so clever, eh. the shirts are made of organic cotton and the bags are made of recycled material and reusable. when mayors in toledo are coming out and suggesting a 5 cent tax on shopping bags, this is not only an environmentally conscience choice, but also an economical one. and the bags are a steal at only $4 with free shipping.

most of you know where to get these, for those visiting, head over to jupmode.com to pick yours up.

the debut of the new tressel tees (osu vs youngstown st)

the new sweater vest t-shirts came out to the masses this weekend at the osu vs. youngstown st game. the arrival of the shirts was long awaited by quite a few people. on friday i picked up the new shirts at atlantis sportswear on friday and dropped them off in columbus. we’ve got six versions total - adult and youth sizes in scarlet and gray, and toddler and onesies in red - and they’ve all been redesigned with a new tie with the logos.

dr came home for the weekend since ND wasn’t playing to help sell. we made it in late friday night to columbus and got up early to sell at the 7eleven on lane avenue. dr was a little tired from his first week at school so i was lucky to have steve dempsey in town to help organize all of the merch.

the shirt is once again a big hit. like always we got plenty of cute comments, but the biggest seller of the day was the osu sweater vest onesie. it’s the big item that finally brings something to the jupmode line for the women.

the new shirts and onesies aren’t currently on jupmode but should be shortly. in the meantime, if you’d like to order one, just contact me and i’ll get one for you.

and one more thing, dr, brad hays, and i ran the spirit of columbus half marathon today. i’d been training for the last month and was a little nervous as to whether or not i could complete it. the longest training run i had was 9 miles and i spent all day yesterday on my feet. luckily, dr stayed back with me and kept me moving. we finished with a time of about 1:50. my goal was under 2 hours so i’m very happy with the finish. at the finish we received medals and they had a whole bunch of great treats - pbj sandwiches, subway cookies (dr’s favorite), trail mix, waters, bananas. they put on a great event for their first time around.

i’m glad i ran it, mostly just so i can say that i did. i don’t feel some immense sense of accomplishment like some people do. it’s more a feeling like cool, i did it, i wouldn’t mind doing it again sometime. running that early in the morning is weird. we woke up at 5:30 and by noon we were headed back home. it felt like the day was really long and almost like we hadn’t run a race earlier in the day. next time we need to find the closest sonic so that we can really take advantage of all of the calories we burned during the run.

the tressel t on myspace

tressel vest t-shirt

after consulting with ike and ian at toledo.com, in an effort to increase the online marketing of the OSU sweater vest t-shirt, i’ve created a new myspace page for it. you can find it here. if you’re on myspace, the shirt could use the friends.

i’ve posted the above illustration of the new design of the shirt. for those curious about the upcoming season, we’ll have it available in adult and youth in scarlet and gray, and red in toddler, onesie, and beer bottle koozie. they will all be available for purchase on jupmode by the start of the season.

we’ve got a big order out so i’m hoping for big things. spread the word.

what ND football blogs are ignoring

Posted by juplife on September 17, 2007

those that know me know that i do not like charlie weis. all of the pro ND football blogs out there are, in my opinion, ignoring what notre dame should really stand for - a class program that puts character above winning. weis is their savior and they fail to look objectively at our current situation.

mgoblog i think does a much better job at looking at michigans situation this way. when they lost to app state, their blog when pink and was filled with kittens. ND fans are too arrogant to ever do something like this. what happened to the lou holtz idea of self deprecation. mgoblog does a great job of explaining my real issue with weis:

Weis is a colossal asshole. Heck, anyone who’s read one of his many ridiculously arrogant press conference quotes (the grand mother of them begins this post) or saw the embarassing 60 Minutes puff piece — wherein Weis came off as a bully and a jackass — when Notre Dame was returning to glory for the umpteenth time knows this. The only wonder is that the media spent the better part of 2.5 years pumping him up as Weis E. Coyote, Certified Super Genius, largely because Weis spent every available moment telling the media that he and his ACME catalog of incredibly sophisticated devices were worth a foolproof touchdown every game. Somehow I doubt even Tyrone Willingham would have Notre Dame scoring -7 points per game.

hopefully ND fans can get over themselves soon and realize that it’s more important to have a legendary person as coach rather than someone who will win at all costs regardless of how he treats people.

fire weis. bring back bob.

aaron taylor: nd and south bend legend

Posted by juplife on September 10, 2007

aaron taylor started a new ND football website: legendsofsouthbend.com. i was sent the link this week and he’s doing a great job so far. he provides a great perspective that most ND football sites out there don’t. as a former ND great he has access to many former players that provide a perspective that typical fans can’t give. so far he has video interviews with rick mirer and rocket ismail. and he has a blog format with daily updates which keep it fresh. i highly recommend it for every ND fan out there.

and if you need a reminder of how great of a man taylor is, here is a reminder:

sophomore, pat dyer, leads the knights to victory

Posted by juplife on September 3, 2007

st. francis beat findlay on friday thanks in large part to the superb kicking by dyer. in his first year as a varsity player, dyer has stepped up in a big way, connecting on every point after attempt this year. the future is bright for this young kicker.

go buckeyes! beat youngstown state!

Posted by juplife on September 3, 2007

the trip to nd was a solid one this weekend. made the trip with the all star of the weekend, aidan. aidan is the all american boy from mikey’s alma mater, st. paul’s. i’ve been bugging him ever since i’ve been home to be fun and come hang out. i think he’s glad he finally took me up on it.

we had a late departure time on friday but made up for it once we got there. dr is living with zeb in turtle creek. they had a nice place until this weekend. all of dr’s buddies came out for the show. there was potts, hops, dave, gay, hummer, and plenty others. unfortunately, my buddies are not as cool and all but beesman, stayed away for the weekend.

on saturday i declared that i’m boycotting notre dame stadium until charlie weis is fired. after the game, this might happen sooner than you think. at least i’m winning the amato family pick ‘em pool since i was the only one who picked gt to win.

the tailgate was fun though. the pozes were there, uncle john short (although i couldn’t find his tailgate for some reason), the bergeron’s, all of marion street, and beth and steph. i love notre dame games.
