po boys

the chicken at bayou billy’s was so good we went back for seconds. this time in po boy form. katie would have been proud. their bread was really good and the blackened chicken was one of my top two meals of the night.

as aficionados, the edge and i spent a lot of time choosing the perfect italian sausage. tonight we found one we have never had before: with a mushroom topping marinated in italian dressing. it was perfection.

they were out of pork chop sangwiches before we arrived today. sad story. we settled with the pork sausage sang and we pleased as always. a good horseradish/ketchup mixture makes it delish.

we tried bayou billy’s for the first time this year. it was their second year at the fair and they have prime placement and food. bayou billy is a displaced restaurant owner from louisiana. his blackened chicken jambalaya platter is delicious.
