i watched no country for old men last night. it’s a great movie, the perfect complement to the book. the movie is very true to the book and anton chigurh is one of my favorite characters ever. javier bardem should win every award possible for his portrayal of chigurh.
the scene above is a great one and it’s almost word for word from the book.
one of my favorite things about chigurh is that i work with this kid, mark petrus, who, before he cut his hair, looked just like chigurh. i need to get an old photo of him to put up here. mark never should have cut his hair. he had the best halloween costume for the rest of his life and could scare anyone who has seen the movie. incidentally, mark is actually one of the nicest and most mild-mannered kids i know. perhaps he’s also invincible like chigurh.
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.

Love this guy. He is awesome.
you should read the book. they should make a sequel.
