osu vs youngstown state videos (greg and sanman put on a show)

Posted by juplife on September 1, 2008

sanford tatum, who we presumed didn’t survive the cold winter, was back in action. this time he was promoting the tressel tees.

he quite the dancer. there it is:

greg also fancies himself a dancer. lord have mercy.

it’s a close call as to who is the better dancer, sanman or focker. and by better i mean worst ever.

the osu sweater vest t-shirt hits the big time (the people demand tressel t-shirts)

Posted by juplife on September 1, 2008

since everyday should be saturday picked up the osu sweater vest bottle koozie a week ago friday, jupmode has made the rounds on quite a few major blogs and websites.

if you head to ballhype.com you can see all of the links that go back to jupmode.com highlighting the sweater vest. they show 12 links in the last 9 days.

the two biggest links come from withleather.com and si.com. with leather is probably my favorite since they somehow found a photo of me wearing one of the first prototypes of the shirt. the comments are pretty classic and worth the read. it was amazing how many people noticed the post on with leather.

si.com featured the shirt on their campus clicks. this is a pretty major link and i never expected the shirt to be picked up by such a major media outlet. you’ll see it under the ‘dress like jim’ headline. unfortunately, they didn’t provide a direct link but sent readers instead to lioninoil.blogspot.com. however, lion in oil provide a great reason for buying the tressel gear:

This might be the smartest way to show one’s Ohio State loyalty. The players might be the stars, but they come and go in a matter of years. If you buy a Chris Wells replica jersey it has an expiration date – before long it’ll be a throwback. Tressel is the one with potential to last forever, and this shirt allows you to live and root with him (you might want to buy a size bigger to account for your inevitable weight-gain). All for a mere $20!

Once you’ve procured the Sweater Vest shirt you’ll undoubtedly need the officially licensed Sweater Vest Bottle Koozie. There’s no indication that Tressel drinks while watching football, or that he drinks at all. But you probably do. And thus you’ll need the koozie as well. The ability to be a die-hard Ohio State fan in style just got a lot easier. Are you game, Buckeyes fans?

buckeyecommentary.com, an ohio state football blog, picked up on the koozie.

sportsbybrooks.com, a sports gossip site, was surprised to find that the shirt and vest were actually officially licensed by ohio state. scroll down a bit for the nice diagram highlighting the lisiting.

fanblogs.com used the homepage photo of focker and big mat bari on their post. it got quite a few comments, my favorite coming from 1st_and_NOLE: WOW…The guy on the left… his hand/arm is HUGE. He’s got the fist of King Kong.

jupmode also picked up links from these other great sites: yardbarker.com, musiccitymiracles.com, thelotd.com.

i didn’t see it, but i was also told that jim rome mentioned the shirt on his show on espn on friday. not bad.

the response from all of these blogs and websites has been tremendous and more than i expected. i’m glad they’ve all been so positive towards the shirt and koozie. it’s great to have so many people recognize the osu sweater vest t-shirt now and mention where they’ve noticed it. hopefully the new products help as well.

i just heard that PTI talked about the shirt last week. if so, that’s pretty cool. i’m looking for the video.

as always, head over to JUPMODE.COM to order your shirt, koozie, or grocery tote bag.

the debut of the new tressel tees (osu vs youngstown st)

the new sweater vest t-shirts came out to the masses this weekend at the osu vs. youngstown st game. the arrival of the shirts was long awaited by quite a few people. on friday i picked up the new shirts at atlantis sportswear on friday and dropped them off in columbus. we’ve got six versions total - adult and youth sizes in scarlet and gray, and toddler and onesies in red - and they’ve all been redesigned with a new tie with the logos.

dr came home for the weekend since ND wasn’t playing to help sell. we made it in late friday night to columbus and got up early to sell at the 7eleven on lane avenue. dr was a little tired from his first week at school so i was lucky to have steve dempsey in town to help organize all of the merch.

the shirt is once again a big hit. like always we got plenty of cute comments, but the biggest seller of the day was the osu sweater vest onesie. it’s the big item that finally brings something to the jupmode line for the women.

the new shirts and onesies aren’t currently on jupmode but should be shortly. in the meantime, if you’d like to order one, just contact me and i’ll get one for you.

and one more thing, dr, brad hays, and i ran the spirit of columbus half marathon today. i’d been training for the last month and was a little nervous as to whether or not i could complete it. the longest training run i had was 9 miles and i spent all day yesterday on my feet. luckily, dr stayed back with me and kept me moving. we finished with a time of about 1:50. my goal was under 2 hours so i’m very happy with the finish. at the finish we received medals and they had a whole bunch of great treats - pbj sandwiches, subway cookies (dr’s favorite), trail mix, waters, bananas. they put on a great event for their first time around.

i’m glad i ran it, mostly just so i can say that i did. i don’t feel some immense sense of accomplishment like some people do. it’s more a feeling like cool, i did it, i wouldn’t mind doing it again sometime. running that early in the morning is weird. we woke up at 5:30 and by noon we were headed back home. it felt like the day was really long and almost like we hadn’t run a race earlier in the day. next time we need to find the closest sonic so that we can really take advantage of all of the calories we burned during the run.
