in the event that you somehow, while reading this blog, overlooked the fact that gym spent his last night in t-town city yesterday, i’m going to remind you.
i hung out with gym every day he was home. and it’s worn me out. going out 5 of the last 6 days brings me back to my college days. but i had even less real responsibility then than i do now.
i’m going to miss the kid though. i don’t know anyone who can talk to anyone and everyone like him. between becoming necklaces, duck hunt, don’t i know you?, and drunk lonely old classmates, we had ourselves a great time.
quite a few characters joined us along the way. little boy, tom, bubba, butch, eric, and the deuce. unfortunately for us, mogen trumps us all, even gym’s mother, and has stolen him away for the next week.
until his actual departure, i’m going to have to figure out how to appropriately say goodbye to a friend who is about to leave for war. i’m not sure it it’s possible. hopefully letting him know that he’s as brave as the spartans in 300 and this picture below will do the trick.

remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.
