since i’ve been using google reader i’ve come across two new sites that are making a lot of noise: twitter and joost.
twitter is a social networking site that allows people to stay updated on their friends through away messages. you can leave these messages directly on the site, through an im program, or text message. i’m trying it out to see how it goes. it’s apparently the next big thing so i figured i’d jump on early. anyone else want to join so i have a friend? no. ok, that’s cool.

here is an article explaining it better and specifically, why twitter matters.
joost was started by the guys who created kazaa and skype. badass. i don’t know too much about it, but i believe it’s going to be an online tv portal/youtube. as they say, tv anywhere, anytime. the big news is that viacom denied youtube and is dealing with joost. they are going the icq/gmail route and only allowing a select few to sign up for the beta. i’m on the list. anyone out there want to invite me. no. ok, that’s cool.
below are some screenshots from joost.

remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.

rohn- because all of my bosses are out for the rest of the week (they keep score at madison square garden for all basketball games), i have so much free time. i do not understand why you would sign up for twitter. i know she says it is not just another distraction, but if no one is on it then you (yet), then you are checking it, facebok, and whatever else people look at.
cant wait to hear what youthink!
