At the behest of the craziest ND fan I know, Todd Krall, it’s time for another post. I’m sure my dedicated readership has been at a loss without an update.
Things have been busy since the onset of the ND football season. As you know it started off shaky but good with 2 wins. Then came devastation with the loss to Michigan. At least the fans that I know were gracious in the win and understand the embarrassment of a big loss when expectations are high.
Going back to the games has been fun. I’ve been able to hang out with DR and his degenerate
roomies…I’m thinking Bulfin!!! And KT has been the ever gracious host and bartender to all of Pat and my mongrel friends. She was even so kind as to drive to GT for the pep rally to hang out with college footballs best color guy, Frank Stams. Not sure what I’m going to do when she graduates. I’ll really be “that guy” when I don’t have any siblings to stay with on game weekends. Hopefully the House still welcomes me then.
At the Michigan game the buddies had quite a showing. Teapot made an appearance with Kangs in tow, including everyones favorite Mr. David Wong, Vic, the Red Rocket and some dude named Pinto. Teapot successfully convinced Gramma to make it to his third consecutive ND game and Dirty was there to show everyone how perfect his abs are now that he doesn’t visit the King every weeknight at midnight. BiMan brought Nugget with him as well and most of the buddies stayed with Natalie who has officially established herself as t
he coolest girlfriend ever.
DomerConnect.com has been going well as I’m sure you all know since you check it everyday. And if you haven’t, shame on you – help a Schmidt out once in a while eh. Hopefully things take off soon and I’m in Indy and another Ohio city within a month. After writing a killer BPlan I better be. Uncle John Short, the tailgate king, has been a great help with Indy.
I’m working on a similar site for Central Catholic as well. It looks like it’s going to become the official alumni site for the school and incorporate an advertising scheme in the line of DomerConnect.com. I’ll keep you updated as things progress.
In the meantime I’m looking forward to a few more exciting weekends. I’ve successfully invited myself to my first wedding of the year with Meg Poz even though it means I’ll be missing the Purdue game – no thanks to you Steph. But I’ll be back to the rest of the home games and hopefully USC and Navy as well. If you’re in Toledo for the Air Force game and it’s played on TV, the ND Club of Toledo will be having a game watch somewhere in the area, an event sponsored by DomerConnect.com. In October I
foresee a possible visit to Nate in Dayton and hopefully another to Chicago around the second weekend for a special event and because Diesel, BiMan, Bees, and Smeagol & Co. miss me so much.
Keep checking back. The camera should hopefully return to me in a month or so and things will pick up then. That means more embarrassing photos of everyone (except me of course, since every picture I take is money bra).
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.
