KT turned old this weekend. Yep, that’s right, the double deuce – 22. That means no more important and exciting birthdays for the rest of her life. Unless for some strange reason she is looking forward to aging.
With fewer friends at home than me, KT was left alone on her big
day and the responsibility for her having fun fell to me. After a Friday night that proved to be more fun than expected, KT stayed out until close and managed to not leave with my friends sans moi.
Friday began with a surprise visit from Geege, marking the second straight year that he has visited KT on July 29. For taking the honor of
being our first visitor to our Holland house, we took Gramma out to dinner with Bones. Conscious of the fact that Gramma has high to quite high dexterity in his nimble fingers, we sampled some sushi and took away his fork. Left to the chopsticks, he sured earned his food.
After dinner KT made a pit stop at her grounded boyfriend’s while
I recruited the troups to celebrate. I managed to find a few and even convinced Kelly to join us without telling her where we were going. Fortunately John Earl made the decision of where to go for all of us when he called me and said, “Screw chicks tonight bro, I gotta dance!” As anyone from T-Town city knows, that means only one thing – we were headed to Club Sin (yes, it is as exciting as the name suggests).
Club Sin went surprisingly well considering how many gian scary clowns were hanging from the ceiling and all of the sober people in the group. But Earl danced and KT talked to everyone, told them how pretty they were, and got free birthday drinks. It was really her night when she lost the top of her ring and I miraculously found it on the ground.
So hopefully KT had a good weekend. I know I did. It doesn’t even matter that she hung out with me by default. In fact, I wish it would happen more often.
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.

Who’s the ox in the cactus pants? He must be at least 500 lbs.
