Pirates of the Caribbean came out last weekend. Of course I saw it. After spending a summer in Denver watching and memorizing the movie all day with Annie, I had to see it on opening day.
But after everyone ditched me, even my 14 year old cousin, I had to wait until Saturday to see it. And let me tell you, being forced to wait that extra day was brutal, just agonizing. It’s a good thing I finally convinced my cousin, Pat, to come with me by promising him I’d take him to TBell for delicious Crunchwraps. He even brought a friend so I didn’t look completely pathetic or anything.
This Pirates didn’t quite live up to the hype created by the fist one. The sole reason for the let down: not enough Captain Jack Sparrow. He was clearly the highlight of the first movie and it makes no sense that whoever was in charge failed to include him the majority of the time. Even Keira Knightley couldn’t save the movie. So hopefully the third installment reconciles this error and brings the Captain back to the forefront. In the meantime, I’ll pillage and plunder the seas of T-Town in the Pearl. Savvy?
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.

i do love that picture with you in front of the boat in boulder, but i kinda wish that there was another picture of you with the black pearl…. kinda ties it all together, wouldn’t you think?!?!?
glad that you were able to catch the flick, and only hope that #3 will be as amazing as #1 so we can sit at the lorenz’s watching it day and night (with some bio dome in the middle… do you think they will make another one of those? “cu lose” if they dont”)
