The road trip has gone much better since we’ve actually been on the road. No more flights for Nate to miss or 24 hour clocks to be confused by.
We started off in Reims by enjoying a bunch of Mumms. The stuff was delicious but not as inexpensive as Focker led on. And for future reference, not all hotel owners enjoy it when you shoot corks out the window at unexpecting pedestrians and cars.
From Reims we headed to Normandy and made the WWII tour of the beaches and cemetery. Pretty crazy stuff. We were also fortunate enough to find Balder at some ceremony in a. They hold this annual celebration to honor the paratroopers who landed in this town which was the first in France to be liberated from the Germans. They held a Poz worthy festival and had a bunch of Army guys jump out of planes. Cool. There were even some veterans from the war who were actually there on D-Day.
Now it is back to Tours for some wine tours and Chateaux. Hope Wood and Nate can handle.
PS. I won the eurotrash contest. My mullet and stache are like the mashed potatoes – off the chain.
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.
