For some reason the email I received from Nate this evening surprised me. It really shouldn’t have.
“in accordance with eurotrip policy, we have missed our flight. wood and i misread our ticket… our plane left at 4:40, not 6:40 like we thought. needless to say, we’re still in zaragoza. our new flight comes in to beauvais friday morning”
I must say this is quite an auspicious beginning for our trio, especially Nate. This makes him the Albert Pujols of missed flights and bumps his total up to a league leading 3 in the last 6 months. Reasons for missing include going to the wrong airport, not knowing the actual departure time, and being too drunk the night before to wake up in time. Let’s hope I can get him to Madrid in time to make the flight back to the US on June 10. Keep your fingers crossed. 
remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.
