My life definitely got more exciting with Katie in town for a few days. She arrived last Wednesday and spent the rest of the day sleeping like a Diesel (or was she just resting up for a big weekend of football like Cooper?). Overall she had a complete tour of Paris with visits to Versailles, the Louvre, the Champs Elysees, Montmarte, Sacre Coeur, the Eiffel Tower, and of course the red light district (really a weird place to unexpectantly stumble upon with your sister).
On Friday night the fun really kicked off. We headed to the US Embassy lounge to have a few
drinks and, unknowingly, receive an education. KT’s good friend Michelle taught her many of life’s essential lesson. For example, how to get free drinks from guys, that red bull and champagne can be mixed, and that one
must adapt…or die. We also learned that I am incapable of picking up chicks but I am unusually skilled at attracting men. (Sorry, I know I’m a creep. But I don’t know why I feel it’s necessary to include this bit of information when I have complete control over the content of this blog.) Anyway, the night went well and luckily we both survived.
Saturday we had the great pleasure of sharing the day with Jon Kelly. For
those of you unfamiliar with Jon, I will let you know from the start that he is a beast of the truest form. A fellow member of the House and brother to the beloved Gulia, his mere presence elevated everyone’s night into a realm no one thought was possible. With Jon as our guide we made our Mark on Paris and a few new friends along the way.
After a long journey we finally made it to our destination and got our money’s worth with a Nic Hennings Special. It was a good night once again and many of our old friends showed up, Please Nevis, Michelle, Doug, and Balder. There was dancing, Coke, the King, Ol’ Blue Eyes, and Oasis fans. When it was all said and done, Jon and everyone who fell in love with him
that night didn’t want it to end. But NoAmy, it had to end. At least I managed to communicate to the cab driver where I lived and Jon had enough energy to see the Paris that exists outside of the Disney park.
The entire week wouldn’t have been possible without the Healy’s. They
were kind enough to let the Dragon and I stay at their place while KT was in town. Beth made some delicious meals and is probably the sole reason I have survived while living on my own for the first time in my life. Together with Jeff, they form a wicked example of what a married couple should be like. Word. And their daughter Shannon is a prodigy. She not only can speak English and French at the age of 6, but she also noticed what’s wrong with this picture. Can you?

remember that time pants cooked the food you like, hosted the tailgate, let you stay over night, visited you too often at school, learned how to text, took you to practice, made you feel uncomfortable when asking you about a gf or bf, cried when you left home, loved you more than should be possible. you probably do. cause it happens everyday.

Did your sister’s arrival make the French surrender?
